Telemundo, riding a ratings winning streak in Spanish-language TV, on Thursday raised the curtain on a 2024-25 lineup that it hopes will continue that momentum.

The NBCUniversal-owned broadcaster will feature a sequel to its long-running novela El Señor de Los Cielos, more of its breakout reality series La Casa de los Famosos and several new series (both scripted and not) next season. It will also expand its Noticias Telemundo Ahora FAST channel to Peacock and other platforms to provide news coverage through the presidential election and beyond.

“As the number one Spanish-language broadcast network in primetime, we are proud to unveil a programming slate for the next season that continues to innovate and redefine Hispanic media,” said Luis Fernandez, chairman of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. “Latinos represent the single largest growth opportunity for businesses in America. They are young, wielding a tremendous purchasing power and fueling the growth of video consumption across platforms. Telemundo continues to lead Hispanic media as we adapt to the rapidly evolving needs of our audience and, in this moment of constant change in our industry, that spirit of transformation and creativity is more important than ever.”

Telemundo led all Spanish-language networks in primetime total viewers and adults 18-49 in March and April, the first time it has put together that long a winning streak. It led Univision by margins of better than 20 percent in both measures over the two months.

La Casa de Los Famosos, a version of Celebrity Big Brother, has fueled the ratings surge and will return for a fifth season in 2024-25 along with fellow reality veterans Los 50, Top Chef VIP and Exaltón Estados Unidos. Telemundo also has two new unscripted shows, a survival competition titled La Isla: Desafío Extremo and a music-based show with the working title Sin Fronteras.

On the scripted side, the network will debut La Dinasta Casillas, a follow-up to El Señor de Los Cielos that follows Rutila, Ismael and the heirs of the Casillas cartel legacy. Other new series include Sed de Verganza, a star-crossed romance/revenge drama starring Danilo Carrera and Isabella Castillo; the underworld-set Perseguida; crime-family drama La Familia; and a period drama titled El Conde: Amor y Honor.

Telemundo will also be the exclusive Spanish-language broadcaster of the Summer Olympics (as part of NBCU’s rights package for the games) and continues to air Premier League and U.S. national team soccer matches and Spanish telecasts of NBC’s NFL games.
