A study from Spain-Holiday has identified the cities and towns that have a high percentage of native English speakers and the highest number of expat residents.
While it might be comforting to be around a lot of fellow English speakers, most experts recommend expats get to grips with basic Spanish before moving.
According to a Foreign Service Institute study, it takes around 24-30 weeks to learn conversational Spanish.
