C.D. Leganés, together with LALIGA, will hold the first edition of Mascot Olympics on Sunday 19th November. For the first time in the history of Spanish football, the mascots of the LALIGA clubs will come together to recreate a show in the Estadio Municipal Butarque, where they will compete to be the best mascot of Spanish football.
There will be six competitions in these Olympic Games for mascots. The first of them will consist of a 100m steeplechase; the second will be the queen of all events, the 100m sprint; the third, a peculiar cucumber throw; the fourth, an MLS-style penalty shootout in which each mascot will try to beat a Goalkeeper of Legend; the fifth, a relay race; and the sixth and last one will be a virtual event in which the public will vote online for their favourite mascot during the days prior to the competition.
Tickets for 3€ for C.D. Leganés members and 5€ for the general public.
The event can be seen live on Sunday 19th November at the Estadio Municipal Butarque from 12PM, and tickets are priced at €5 for the general public (buy your ticket here) and €3 for C.D. Leganés members (buy your ticket here). Tickets can be purchased online through the club’s official website or at the offices of the Estadio Municipal Butarque from Monday to Friday from 10AM to 8PM.
In the run-up to the event, various activities will take place around the stadium, which will be confirmed in the coming days. In addition, all attendees will be able to have their photograph taken with some of the mascots taking part in the competition if they purchase their ticket with that option.
