The demonstrations in Spain are part of a larger movement that has been gaining momentum across Europe, with professionals from countries like France, Germany, Belgium, Hungary, Italy and Poland demanding similar concessions for their own agricultural sectors. Their demands include stricter import regulations for food from non-European countries that do not adhere to European standards.

Now, the worrying news has emerged that drivers from other transport sectors plan to join the farmers’ protests, sparking concern over the impact these mass demonstrations will have on the country’s infrastructure.
