Atlético Madrid are reportedly leading the race for Feyenoord defender Dávid Hancko. The 26-year-old is currently on the radar of several top European sides following a fantastic Euro 2024 campaign with Slovakia. According to Santi Aouna, the Spanish giants have entered a new round of talks with Feyenoord as they aim to get a deal done as quickly as possible.
Negations between the two sides are underway and Dávid Hancko is said to be keen on a move to the Spanish capital. Atlético Madrid are already on the verge of signing Robin Le Normand from Real Sociedad, but they’re still looking to secure the services of another defender, with Hancko being the number one target.
Dávid Hancko has spent the last two seasons at Feyenoord where he’s solidified his status as one of the best central defenders in the Eredivisie. He played a huge role during the 22/23 campaign when Feyenoord were crowned Champions, and last season he continued to perform under now Liverpool head coach Arne Slot. This could be a fantastic bit of business from Atlético Madrid, although an agreement is yet to be reached between the two clubs.
