The Almeria-born central midfielder has been selected for the Spain Men’s National Football Team at the Paris Olympics
Álex Baena will be an Olympian. The Almeria-born central midfielder has been called up to play in the Paris 2024 Olympics for the Spain Men’s National Football Team.
Baena is part of the 18-player list named by Santi Denia who will participate in the Olympics, which will take place from Friday 26th July – Sunday 11th August.
The Yellows Midfielder, who is currently in Germany at the European Championship with Spain, will join up with the Olympics squad after the final in Berlin on Sunday 14th July.
Baena’s inclusion on the list for the Olympic Games is yet another highlight in his fantastic 2023/24 season, in which he recorded 14 assists in LALIGA EA SPORTS – the highest number in the league – and was called up to represent Spain at the European Championship.
