Golf course owner gives update three months after changing management company
Alhama Healthy Living SL, owner of Alhama Signature Golf Course on the Condado de Alhama Golf Resort, has issued an update on the current situation three months on from the change of management company after complaints were raised about the state of the well-known Jack Nicklaus designed course.
Sister company Alhama Nature are currently building new villas and apartments, with plans between the two companies to build a new clubhouse and 2 hotels as well as a football and sports complex that has already been selected a training camp venue for the 2030 Football World Cup when Spain will co host the competition with Portugal and Morocco. There are also plans to build Water and Beach complex in the urbanisation.
The Golf course will feature as a large part of the attraction for the resort and work is underway to improve the condition of the course making it a contender to host presigious competitions.

The Head of Operations for the course, Miguel Hernández Ana Andreo has published the following statement:
After 3 months since the ownership of the golf course took over its management, we would like to give you a report of our Green Keeper and of the external audit we have carried out for the control of the golf course.
As for the changes made, the most noticeable are those of the Proshop and the cafeteria, but the improvements can be seen both in the course and in all its facilities.
Since the 14th October, the maintenance services of the course have been put into operation following the contracting of the company STV, increasing the number of permanent gardeners by two or four for peak working hours.
We have two Green Keepers and a foreman to manage and supervise the work and the machinery has been considerably increased.
The golf school is now fully operational and has the services of Roy Kulick, a great professional in the sector with all his qualifications perfectly validated.
The staff in charge of the golf course is made up of an Operations Manager, Miguel Hernández, a Proshop, Merchandising and Personnel Manager, Ana Andreo, a Caddy Master, Noemí Pérez, with plans to hire one more soon, and two Marshalls, Álvaro Herrero and Pedro Hernández. The whole team is always under the control and management of the property.
In addition, since 2 September, the Club House is being managed by a new concessionaire, Graeme West, meeting high standards of quality and satisfaction.
Despite all the efforts made, both human and financial, we cannot ignore the fact that our work takes place in a natural environment with characteristics and conditions that make it difficult to specify the time in which the course will be in its optimum state, but the results obtained over the last three months fill us with satisfaction and optimism for the achievement of our objectives in the shortest possible time.
We would also like to thank all the criticisms received from different areas because it helps us to make an even greater effort and to improve our day-to-day work.
