Two up-and-coming members of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona have emerged as serious doubts to feature in the club’s next friendly outing.
That’s according to Toni Juanmartí of Diario Sport, who points towards Alejandro Balde and Pablo Torre as the pair in question.
Both players were forced to sit out Barcelona training on Monday, with respective fitness issues.
In the case of defender Balde, as much came owing to an unspecified ‘minor discomfort’, thought to be of a muscular nature.
Midfielder Torre, meanwhile, is suffering with a bout of gastroenteritis.
The duo’s respective availability to feature in the third and final fixture of Barcelona’s pre-season tour of the USA, in turn, has been thrown up in the air.
Hansi Flick’s troops have made the trip to Baltimore, Maryland, early this week, ahead of locking horns with Italian heavyweights AC Milan in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
