AMAZON founder Jeff Bezos has been spotted seeking shelter from the Balearics’ recent storm off the coast of Menorca on his colossal yacht the Koru

The billionaire’s 127-metre vessel, one of the largest sailing yachts in the world, has become a familiar sight in the Mediterranean, but its presence in Menorca during this stormy weather has drawn particular attention.

The Koru, which is valued at nearly half a billion euros, has been anchored near Cap d’en Font as the island braces itself against the impact of the DANA, a low-pressure system that has brought heavy rainfall and strong winds to the region.

Bezos, who is known for his penchant for luxury, has been joined by his smaller yacht, the Abeona, as they weather the storm in the safety of the Balearic Islands.

The Koru, which was built in the Netherlands, has been the subject of controversy in the past due to its immense size and the necessary modifications to infrastructure required to accommodate it.

Despite its imposing stature, the yacht can comfortably host up to 18 guests and is staffed by a crew of 40.

As the storm continues to batter the region, it’s clear that even billionaires aren’t immune to the forces of nature.

Bezos’ decision to seek refuge in Menorca highlights the island’s appeal as a safe haven for the super-rich, even in the face of adverse weather conditions.
