UD Almería right-back Marc Pubill joined up with the Spanish Olympic football team’s training camp this Monday in the Ciudad del Fútbol of Las Rozas, located in Madrid. The team led by Santi Denia are going to prepare their imminent participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The 22 players, including Pubill, have earned call-ups but before heading to France to play some friendlies and the Olympic Games, the national coach will rule out four. There will finally be 18 footballers who will attend this leading international sporting event.
Marc Pubill is on international duty along with players such as Eric García, Mosquera, Pau Cubarsí, Turrientes, Samu Omorodion, Diego López… After the Euro Cup in Germany, Almería-born Alex Baena and Fermín will also join the group. Without a doubt, a great selection to aspire to success.
Spain has been placed in Group C of the Olympic Games along with Uzbekistan, Egypt and the Dominican Republic. Their Olympic curtain-raiser will be held on 24th July at the Parc des Princes Stadium, Paris. If the Spanish team, as expected, embarks a long journey in the Olympics, Marc Pubill will not finish his international participation until early August.
On the other hand, speaking of other UD Almería internationals, central defender César Montes has put an end to his international spell as the Mexican squad has unfortunately been eliminated from the Conmebol Copa America in the group stage, so they are preparing to start their holidays before rejoining the Indálicos.
