And three giant screens will allow to follow the end of the European Championship free of charge at two locations in the city.
The Mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, has announced it through his x profile -formerly Twitter-: the City Council of the capital will set up a total of three giant screens so that the people of Madrid can follow the match, as already happened on Tuesday with the semifinal against France.
“In Madrid, everyone with the national team! So that the people of Madrid can cheer on @SEFutbol in the final of the European Championship this Sunday, we will install three giant screens in two locations in Madrid, Plaza de Colón and Puente del Rey,” he wrote on the social network.
Football on the biggest screen in Madrid
In addition to those installed by the Madrid City Council, the meeting can also be followed for free -with free tickets and until full capacity is reached- at the 350 square meter screen that the Palacio de Hielo (Calle de Silvano, 77) has installed since the beginning of the tournament. Which, they claim, is the largest in the capital.
Should Spain, which has played in four European finals and won three in its history, be crowned champion on Sunday, it would add a fourth European Championship to its trophy cabinet after winning the title in 1964, 2008 and 2012.
In England’s case, this is the second time they have reached the final of the championship and, if they win it, they would win the first European Championship in their history.
